Polysoma is a specialist private practice offering integrative sex therapy, sexology, trauma counselling and psychotherapy in Goodwood, Adelaide — and online for clients across Australia and internationally.

Kai holds a Master of Counselling, Graduate Certificate in Sexology and Bachelor of Clinical Practice, and is currently completing a Master of Science in Medicine (Sexual and Reproductive Health) at the University of Sydney. Kai is SAR credentialed, a Professional Member of the Australian Counselling Association, and a Member of the Society of Australian Sexologists.

This practice is particularly well-suited for referrals involving:

• Sexual dysfunction — erectile dysfunction, premature and delayed ejaculation, anorgasmia, low libido and arousal difficulties.
• Genital and pelvic pain.
• Sexual health and illness — prostate cancer and its impact on sexual function, post-surgical recovery, chronic illness and sexuality.
• Sexual trauma — assault, abuse, historical and complex sexual trauma.
• Trauma — complex trauma, PTSD, intimate partner violence, adverse childhood experiences.
• The intersection of pain, trauma and sexual wellbeing.
• Compulsive sexual behaviour and problematic pornography use.
• Sexuality, identity and gender — LGBTQIA+ affirming care, gender diverse support.
• General counselling and mental health — anxiety, depression, grief, relationships, sexual anxiety and body confidence.
• The psychological and relational impact of cancer, chronic illness and medical diagnoses on sexual wellbeing.

Important information for referring practitioners

This is a private practice — services are not covered by Medicare. I recommend discussing the financial commitment with your patient before making a referral.

• Individual intake: $300 (includes first session)
• Ongoing sessions: $180
• NDIS participants: intake and sessions billed to plan manager at standard NDIS counselling rates

• Presenting complaint and any other pertinent information.
