Sexuality & Identity Support

Affirming, trauma-informed care for LGBTQIA+ individuals and anyone exploring or navigating their sexuality, gender, or identity—in Adelaide and online.

  • LGBTQIA+ affirming mental health support.
  • Trans, gender diverse, and non-binary affirming support and care.
  • Steady support at every stage of gender affirming care—helping you process the emotional weight of medical systems and move through your transition at your own pace.
  • Identity exploration—sexuality or gender—in a non-judgemental space.
  • Navigating gender and sexuality transitions with family, friends, and community.

A Space Built on Respect

I believe affirming care starts with using your own language for your identity, staying current on terminology, and following your lead—never making assumptions about your gender or sexuality. That means honouring your autonomy, working with genuine, informed consent, and bringing trauma-informed cultural humility into every session, because these are the things that ease minority stress and build real trust between us. This is the foundation I’ve built Polysoma on: your name, your pronouns, your sexual orientation, held with care.

Support Through Every Stage

Whether you’re just beginning to question your sexuality or gender, or you’re deep into a transition, I meet you exactly where you are. As a sex therapist and psychotherapist—(not a clinical psychologist or psychiatrist)—I don’t provide a formal diagnosis of gender dysphoria; instead, I follow an informed-consent approach consistent with AusPATH’s Australian Standards of Care, offering ongoing psychosocial assessment and support that tracks your experience and readiness over time. If you’re preparing for gender affirming surgery, I can provide a letter of support documenting our work together, your readiness, and informed consent, in line with AusPATH and WPATH-informed principles—while formal diagnostic requirements, where needed, are addressed by an appropriately qualified psychologist or psychiatrist as part of the broader care team.

Discover a place to heal, grow, and recover.

I work with you—in person or virtually—to provide trauma-informed, sex-positive, and affirming sexuality and identity support, as a sex therapist and psychotherapist.

Whoever you are, whatever you’re carrying—you’re welcome at Polysoma, at whatever pace feels right for you.
