Are you living with a disability?

Authored by Kai @ Polysoma

I am dedicated to fostering diversity and inclusivity, which extends to assisting individuals with disabilities. I work with numerous individuals dealing with diverse impairments.🌱  In this blog i’m here to share some insights about the National Disability Insurance Scheme, its potential benefits for persons living with a disability that might be considering working with me. Let’s explore what’s available, how it might apply to you or your loved ones, and the steps you can take to access NDIS support,

In Australia, NDIS stands for the National Disability Insurance Scheme. It’s a federal government-funded initiative aimed at providing support and services to people with disabilities, their families, and carers. The scheme aims to assist individuals with disabilities to lead an ordinary life by funding necessary supports and services tailored to their needs. 🌸

NDIS provides funding for things like therapy services, with the goal of enhancing the independence, social inclusion, and well-being of people with disabilities. If you have a disability, you might be eligible for assistance through the NDIS. To check your eligibility, please click here

Some of the clients I work with may have access to the NDIS scheme. Prospective clients who self-manage or are plan-managed may be able to access to my professional services. For instance, I can offer support and guidance in psychosocial and psychosexual education. This may involve acquiring skills related to relationships and sexual consent, as well as gaining a better understanding of one’s own body. Actually there can be many reasons to see me.

Polysoma operates as an unregistered provider when it comes to NDIS. While not all professional services are mandated to be registered, unregistered providers must still adhere to the NDIS Code of Conduct. Rest assured, as a client, you can be confident that my professional services are consistent with the code, plus my own professional ethics.

Additionally, I am dedicated to assisting individuals who are not in a self-or plan-managed situation. I believe it’s crucial to provide inclusive access to my services to as many people as possible. In the future, Polysoma aims to undergo the extensive process of obtaining NDIS provider status. Make sure to visit the blog for any updates about this in the future.

Everyone is welcome to access my professional services, regardless of whether you have NDIS or your disability. Please feel free to explore more information regarding how I can work with you and my FAQs page about my professional fees.
